PRICING

A lot of photographers charge different prices, high and low and have so many packages, why?

Like any business, some feel the need to give you the lowest price hoping just to have your business, while others have very structured packages and you get just what is in that package. Many photographers only work weekends as they already have a "day job," while others are developing their skills and talent. For others, such as myself, this is a full time profession.

When clients call me, one of the first things they ask is, how much? My response is I can't tell you how much without first knowing just what it is you would like me to do. I think the most important thing I can do for my client is to know what they want and then customize to their request and budget. It is not about me, but rather it is all about you. Building a portfolio around my clients request doesn't have to be difficult. I am, after all, in a service industry and believe, without question, in giving my client what they want and then I can design a photographers folio that meets your budget and request.

•Photo Proofs

Proofs of your photo session can be delivered to you using different methods. It just depends what you like and in what format.

•Printed Proofs

I have clients who only want printed proofs first, which typically are 4 x 6 prints, but at the request of some clients, I will produce 5 x 7 prints. These proofs are delivered in a proof album which of course, is yours to keep. Please remember these are only proofs and have not been retouched for color, content or any flaws. They are "as is" and this is why I don't always recommend printed proofs to my clients.

•Online Proofs

My clients love online proofs and the reason is simple, it saves them money. Why pay for proofs you may not want, let alone like. When you review your proofs online, you can also select on line just what photographs you wish to order and the size of each photograph. It is so much easier and the online proofs are available at no additional charge. I think online proofs is a simpler way of sharing your photographs with family and friends. Just give them the website address and I promise you, they will enjoy being part of the process in helping you choose which photographs you wish to order. Now that is a whole lot easier than mailing proofs to family and friends.

•Digital Proofs

If you enjoy printing your own photographs and like retouching and making adjustments, then providing you with a CD of all your photos is the way to go. This is an excellent value for your money and even if you don't enjoy retouching or adjusting your photographs, then I'll do it for you and you just print the photographs for family and friends. Either way, you win.

•DVD Slideshow

A unique and I feel special feature I offer all my clients as an additional option is my DVD slideshow. I work with some very talented people who understand my need for quality, period. You select the photos and the type of music you would like me to use and then we will produce, what I feel is a living memory of your moment. I must tell you though, in many instances, my clients just tell me they trust my judgment and then say, "Dale, you do it for me." It is always a pleasure to get a phone call a few days after a client has received their DVD to tell me how happy they are and to say thanks. I love the creative process and I am very grateful for their thanks.
